Apple AirPods Max 2 — announced March 16, 2026

Apple has unveiled the AirPods Max 2, bringing significantly improved Active Noise Cancellation, elevated sound quality, and a range of intelligent new features to its iconic over-ear design. The biggest upgrade is under the hood: the H2 chip enables up to 1.5× more effective ANC than the previous generation, along with Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Voice Isolation, and Live Translation.

A new high dynamic range amplifier delivers cleaner audio, and Spatial Audio has been improved with better instrument localization, more accurate bass, and more natural mids and highs. Wireless connectivity gets a bump to Bluetooth 5.3, and a new Camera Remote feature lets you trigger your iPhone or iPad’s shutter by pressing the Digital Crown.

The design remains familiar, with USB-C charging, up to 20 hours of battery life with ANC enabled, and color options in :

Midnight, Starlight, Orange, Purple, and Blue.
